Large IDE Hard Disks

OS/2 Warp 3 (Red Spine and Blue Spine)

If you are not using a Phillips Single Speed CD-ROM w/proprietary Interface or a VESA Local Bus Adaptec 2800 Series SCSI Controller, you may download and use the following Updated Installation Diskette Image files.

For OS/2 Warp 3 Red Spine, use this Image File to create a DISK1 for Installation from CD-ROM.

For OS/2 Warp 3 Blue Spine, use this Image File to create a DISK1 for Installation from CD-ROM.

OS/2 Warp 4

The Image Files available here were released by IBM to facilitate Installation of OS/2 Warp 4 on IBM Thinkpads
from ATAPI CD-ROM Drives on with IDE Hard Drives larger than 4Gb.

They will work fine for installing on any Desktop System with IDE Hard Drives larger than 4Gb with ATAPI CD-ROM Drives.

You'll need to replace the DISK1 and DISK2 Installation Disks with these 2 diskettes.

These are Self-Extracting, Self-Running EXE files that will create the Installation Diskettes for you.
You'll need 2 blank 1.44Mb Floppy Disks before you start the procedure.

Download the 2 files
Insert a blank 1.44Mb Floppy Disk in your A: Drive, and run the EXE file. The rest is self-explanatory.
