WarpDoctor - General Meeting for 2004-02-22

12:27:17 <WalterOS2> Anyway. This meeting of Warpdoctor is now in session.
<Doug> I don't see JB's site as being competitive as much as I see it being complementry (sp?)
<WalterOS2> For some reason, I'm not a channel op, so I can't put the agenda URL at the topic.
<Doug> I fact, I can envision a number of instances where we will have explicit links to his site.
<WalterOS2> Here is again: http://www.warpdoctor.org/agendas/warpdoc_2004-02-22.html
<KenKrchnr> Strangely, noone is an Op
<Doug> and hopefully - he will have links to our site.
<WalterOS2> He has agreed in a private email that that is OK with him.
<WalterOS2> He did say, however, that "he will keep an eye on us" (or words to that effect).
<WalterOS2> :-)
<wdl> Doug: Thank you for the list. Is that actually compiled anywhere? As, like, a "business plan" to target?
<Doug> yeah - I think so. I think it is in the same document that we sent him.
<WalterOS2> List?
<wdl> Doug: May all of us have a copy?
<Doug> I know that egos are involved - and I is certainly bigger than most anyone else's - but the reason we are doing this is to further the OS/2 community
<Doug> I = mine
<WalterOS2> Doug: I don't belive that!
<Doug> There is room for two sites that have something to do with hardware.
<Doug> Bill - the document is on the site, let me look for the url.
<WalterOS2> Yes, I agree. Let's try to move on.
<KenKrchnr> http://www.warpdoctor.org/ref_lib.html
<Doug> Thanks Ken.
<wdl> Ken: Thanks.
<KenKrchnr> Pick "Site Design Document"
<Doug> That document is out of date in some areas - but the goals and basic design (types of site content, etc.) are still accurate.
<WalterOS2> Thanks Doug.
<WalterOS2> However, I won't take time to read it now. :-)
<WalterOS2> XPager problem
<WalterOS2> Alex Taylor: Doug have you sent the stuff to him?
<WalterOS2> Nothing like putting people on the spot. :-)
<Doug> Sorry - I have not done that yet :(
<Doug> I will try to do that very shortly.
<WalterOS2> OK.
<WalterOS2> I suggest we continue using the JS version until that problem is solved.
<WalterOS2> It could take awhile to get the XPager wrestled to the ground.
<WalterOS2> XPager problem
<WalterOS2> Doug: Anything new on WD development?
<Doug> Nothing this week :(
<WalterOS2> Please don't worry about it.
<WalterOS2> Doug are we at a point where we can test any data inputting?
<Doug> I think that we can input drivers right now - but only using the plug-in.
<Doug> Although I think Ken found some problems that might prevent that. I would have to look.
<KenKrchnr> I did :-)
<WalterOS2> What? Look?
<Doug> ok - I need to address the problems Ken found first then.
<KenKrchnr> Find some problems.
<WalterOS2> OK, regarding VOICE1.
<WalterOS2> I've emailed Vaughn and invited him to one our meetings (VOICE or WD).
<WalterOS2> No resonse. So I don't know if he's a) able to host VOICE1; b) still interested in doing so.
<WalterOS2> I just sent him another one.
<WalterOS2> That's all the business we have as far as I'm concerned.
<WalterOS2> We can either adjourn the meeting or just have Open Session for awhile.
<WalterOS2> Your choice. :-)
[ Sudden departure of most... ]
<wdl> Magic words?
<WalterOS2> Sure.
<WalterOS2> Do you want to adjourn?
<wdl> yes.
<wdl> Aye.
<WalterOS2> So do I.
<WalterOS2> Aye.
<WalterOS2> Motion carried.
14:15:33 <WalterOS2> Meeting adjourned.
