06-01-03 15:18:02 Has everyone got a copy of the agenda? The URL in the announcement is incorrect. 06-01-03 15:39:49 Now we should get to the business of Warpdoctor. 06-01-03 15:40:56 Agenda Item A. Old Business 06-01-03 15:41:12 1. Updating HCL. 06-01-03 15:41:41 Gord, Bill: Have you given any thought to updating the *contents* of the HCL? 06-01-03 15:42:43 i.e. I'll bet a lot of the new printer drivers are in there. :-) 06-01-03 15:44:03 Walter: Yes. But Gord was collecting things...?? 06-01-03 15:44:21 I still have the collection. 06-01-03 15:45:23 How do he *not* compete with the several sites already doing a *very* good job at HCL-like info??? 06-01-03 15:45:30 Or do we care? 06-01-03 15:45:52 Or... How can we cooperate with them? 06-01-03 15:47:26 You speaking about Jonas Buys' site? 06-01-03 15:47:34 First, I don't think we want to worry about competing with them. 06-01-03 15:48:11 That's one. There are a coupla others. Can't cite off the top-of-head right now. 06-01-03 15:48:13 I asked him about cooperating with WarpDoctor and he was somewhat hostile about it so I let it drop. He wants to do his own thing. 06-01-03 15:48:18 Cooperating with others would be nice, but in many (most?) cases it's not practical. 06-01-03 15:49:05 So we just do our thing, and let the "marketplace" prevail? 06-01-03 15:49:07 Jonas' goal is somewhat different from ours, anyway. 06-01-03 15:50:56 ANYway... Seems like we must allow for multiple hardware entries. 'Cause there may be multiple drivers. 06-01-03 15:51:14 On some machines, one may not work -- another will. 06-01-03 15:51:36 Need to cite *all* tested drivers?? 06-01-03 15:53:24 That WOULD make it most useful. 06-01-03 16:14:03 The June Newsletter is up if anyone is interested 06-01-03 16:14:19 Mark... VERY good eCS 1.1 review 06-01-03 16:14:30 thanks 06-01-03 16:41:43 BTW, Mark. During my last reinstall of 1.1, I decided to take what you said about well Mozilla 1.3b worked seriously, bit the bullet, removed IWB and installed Mozilla instead. I was even able to do a bit of twiddling so that I could keep the IWB bookmarks. 06-01-03 16:42:23 I have definitely not been sorry. :-) I don't think it has crashed on a web page yet. 06-01-03 16:42:29 1.4 rc1 is out now.. wonder how it is 06-01-03 16:42:35 hehehehe, I stopped using Mozilla now, and use FireBird. But I still think Mozilla is better then IWB 06-01-03 16:42:50 And with the turbo feature, the speed is reasonable as well. 06-01-03 16:43:09 of course it's better than IWB... IWB is based on Mozilla 0.9.8 if I remember right 06-01-03 16:43:17 I may go back to Mozilla though if I can't get FireBird to work from MR2ICE
